Artwork & print specifications

Everything your design team needs to supply artwork that prints properly. If anything isn’t right, we’ll tell you before we print — not after.

File format

Vector is ideal — AI, EPS, PDF or SVG, with fonts converted to outlines.

Supplying raster artwork instead? We need PNG with a transparent background, at 300 DPI at final print size.

Resolution depends on print size, not pixel count alone. A 3000 px file is 300 DPI at 25 cm, but only 100 DPI at 75 cm. As a rule of thumb a 30 cm print needs to be around 3,500 px wide.

Please avoid JPEGs for anything with a logo or text — they can’t hold a transparent background and they soften edges.

Colour

Supply CMYK, and include Pantone references for any brand colours that need matching. We’ll flag anything that can’t be hit accurately before we print. Screens run warm, so expect a small shift between what you see on a monitor and what comes off the press.

Print areas

Maximum sizes for each position. Standard prints run up to 36 cm wide; anything larger is possible and priced separately.

PositionMaximum sizeNotes
A3 (full front/back) 29.7 × 42.0 cm Large front or back print
A4 (standard front) 21.0 × 29.7 cm Standard chest/front print
A5 14.8 × 21.0 cm Smaller centred print
Left chest / pocket 10.0 × 10.0 cm Left-chest logo
Sleeve 8.0 × 30.0 cm Down the sleeve
Cap front 12.0 × 6.0 cm Cap / beanie front

Print methods

DTF

Our usual choice. Full colour, photographic detail, no minimum order, and it works on almost any fabric.

Screen print

Best for larger runs in flat spot colours.

Vinyl

Names, numbers and single-colour text.

Embroidery

Logos up to 10 × 10 cm as standard, around 10,000 stitches. Larger badges quoted on request — send vector or a clean high-res file and we’ll digitise it.

UV

Hard goods rather than garments.

Before we print

Send your artwork over and we’ll check resolution, sizing and positioning, then come back with a proof and a confirmed price. Nothing goes on a garment until you’ve approved it.

If your file is too small for the size you’ve asked for, or a colour can’t be matched, we’ll say so while it can still be changed.
